The Cougars swam great at PAL’s. The majority of our athletes who competed made finals, and improved in their second swims.

Both Mia Griffiths and Mia Orr dropped 1 second in the 200 Free. Ashley Owen dropped 1 second in her 100 IM. Eve Kearns dropped 2 seconds in her 200 IM, winning the 200 IM. Rachael Jenar dropped 3 seconds to win the consolation heat of the 200 IM.

Veronica Vasquez got 11th in the 50 Free, and went a new best time to get into the consolation final!. Grace Anderson and Maya Rippberger both swam great in the championship final of the 50 Free. Grace won and Maya took 6th! Ian O’Connor was right on his best in the 50 free!

Grace Anderson and Eve Kearns went 1,2 in the 100 butterfly, both qualified for CCS. Zach Turner got scratched into the 100 Fly. He went a new best time on Thursday to get to that position.

Jess Palmor-Sammons and Bella Poppalardo had great 100 Frees, each dropping at least a second over the course of the meet. Grace Camerons dropped 1 second in her 50 Breaststroke.

Rachel Jenar placed 3rd in the 500, while Mason Laighat had a great swim, dropping 8 seconds for a new best time. Ashley Owen won the 100 backstroke by 12 seconds in an impressive race. Maya Rippberger dropped 5 seconds to get into finals in the 100 breaststroke, then dropped another second to take 3rd overall.

Great swims for our team! Our relays were all top 5. Our Varsity girls took 2nd overall, our Varsity boys took 7th, and the JV Girls took 6th overall.
